This is a serious Rosé

There’s no point in calling ourselves the heretics if we do the same as everyone else, is there? So, we took a punt and decided to barrel ferment all of this (we’re big fans of Les Clans) Pinot Noir, also from Missing Gate vineyard.
There’s no clear glass bottles here getting rapidly damaged by light (sorry, it’s a thing); we are protecting this beauty in our signature black bottles; some people will hate that, but there are always ‘some people’. All old Burgundy barrels with a bit of lees stirring, this is a serious Rosé.
So, how does it taste? It has more depth to it than most Rosé wines and a better complexity. So can you drink it on its own? Hell yeah, but it’s also a winner for Sunday lunch or accompanying some Waygu beef on the BBQ. It turns out real men can drink Rosé after all.
And there’s even a few more reviews…
‘Delicately floral and dangerously raw, infinitesimally layered and fragilely crystalline, unnervingly stern and fleetingly exotic, this is a kaleidoscopically fascinating wine, and the finish alone takes you into next week. I commend this wine to you. It is the most shocking and convincing debut launch of any English wine in my entire wine career’
Matthew Jukes, Vineyard Magazine May 2024
‘This is so, so good, I’d drink this over expensive Provence Rosé any day’

Yes please 🙌🏻 Had been really looking forward to opening this bottle and it didn’t disappoint. Delicious from first sniff, great to enjoy on its own or with food – but careful if you’re sharing with friends as you’ll need a few bottles!

So damned proud to have been involved in this wine! It’s an English still wine you can put in front of a wine fan from anywhere in the world, and you know they’ll be blown away. It’s world class!
What a joy to sit down, freak out over the label design and the packaging and enjoy these flavours that do total justice to the artwork and to the price.
Well done boys 💪💪👌

A stonking Rose. This is for serious Rose drinkers. Full fruit, great structure and a long lingering finish. A Queen amongst Roses.

These guys are smashing out the park – love the energy of both the wine and the personalities behind it!

Delicious! A wine for both heart and head, and for all seasons.

This is a seriously good rosé. So versatile as a style, as can be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif but equally has loads of depth and concentration to pair with food. Look forward to tasting your next wine release. Congrats!

This wine is amazing. The packaging and bottle are beautiful – striking and bold. Then you pour, it’s the most delicate pale colour. It’s crisp and fresh. A special wine for sure. A Rosé to pull out when someone says they “don’t like Rosé”.

Thanks Joel, that’s a cracking review, much love G&J

Purchased this as a gift for my father, I wanted something different that you can’t buy in the shops. The label sold me.
Gareth Maxwell –
Great, hope your dad liked it! Much love G&J

Simply delicious!
This is now our go-to Rosé, perfect for all year round.
We feel pretty cool drinking it too. Love the brand and the attention to detail, like the playlist on the bottle label.
I can’t wait to taste the Chardonnay when it is available 😊
Gareth Maxwell –
Amazing review, thanks so much, chardonnay incoming…

If I had been told to identify this wine blindfold, I would have been stumped. There is nothing of the Provencal rose about it. It is not about sipping rose with no bite. The wine has body – a rose with body (!) – there are peppery notes that surpise. Drinking a bottle leaves you reaching for the next one. It’s English (I wish it was Welsh but you can’t have everything). Bloody good job, lads. What’s next, eh?
Gareth Maxwell –
Well, Jimmy is Welsh and I’m half Welsh, will that do?
